An Update on Storm Damage at Silver Mount

Last week's severe storm left its mark on Silver Mount. We lost 5 trees, 14 suffered significant damage and several stones were damaged.

While our volunteer team immediately began clearing hazardous debris, the work is far from over. Hundreds of fallen branches still need to be chipped and removed, and we continue to assess and care for the damaged trees across the Cemetery that sustained major canopy loss and broken limbs.

Obtaining professional services to assess storm damaged trees, remove hazardous limbs and repair gravestones is extremely costly and places a significant burden on our already limited operational resources.

Each storm event forces us to redirect funds away from daily maintence and preservation efforts, making community support more essential than ever.

Will you make a gift today to help Silver Mount recover?

Your support will help us clean up storm damage, care for injured trees, and continue protecting this extraordinary 17-acre historical grounds.

Thank you for pitching in what you can to help Silver Mount weather these storms .

Save the Date: Plot Holders Meeting

New Funds Secured

We are thrilled to announce that we have secured the funding needed to begin the process of bettering our cemetery. This significant support will allow us to provide a dignified resting place for those that lie here. The cemetery has been working with the community and volunteers to conserve and beautify the cemetery by removing dead trees, large branches and planting flowers. We will keep our community informed as we move forward with this exciting project.

We will be having a Plot holders meeting May 7th 2025 at 7pm. We would love to have you in attendance!

We will be holding open elections on that day and are also seeking volunteers for various tasks. Additionally, we have formed committees to help guide our efforts. As a volunteer board, we are committed to securing the future of Silver Mount and preventing its abandonment

We encourage you to consider volunteering and contributing to this important cause.
